 WHAT IS VISION-NET EMR?

Vision-Net EMR was established in 2003 as a response to the new standards required by HIPAA for healthcare professionals. The initial HIPAA confidentiality requirements were daunting for the small clinics that are typical of Optometry practices. The only possible answer to these new regulations was to automate the confidentiality record keeping process. Vision-Net EMR was developed to address those HIPAA standards and has evolved over the years to conform to the ever changing medical record keeping requirements.  Vision-Net continues to expand with compliance to ICD-10 standards in 2015. 

WHY VISION-NET EMR?

The goal of Vision-net is to provide a platform for Optometrists to be involved in the development of an electronic medical record keeping software that is designed to make an Optometry office as efficient as possible.  

 

We feel there is a disconnect with the established Optometry software development companies that tend to be too "tech" rich but not "doctor" rich.  Often the app is laborious to use and too time consuming to click through the process of recording entries for exams, orders, and patient check in data.  

 

With input from many Optometrists with many different perspectives in the clinical process, we have been able to achieve an effortless, streamlined, protocol from taking a patient check in to patient check out.
